The problem we couldn't ignore

Most of Zach DeAngelo's career has been spent building noteworthy brands in the consumer space. In his 15 years as a brand operator, Zach dealt with numerous issues involving expensive recalls, power outages, lost and damaged goods, and all other means of unexpected chaos (including a murder, ask about it)! The takeaway was that every single CPG brand needs a thoughtful insurance plan but it was clear that there wasn't an approachable broker who understood the complexities of CPG supply chains. So Zach approached a respected consumer investor (hint, its BFG) and an insurance expert (MDP is the best) to form SecureCPG. Now we cover over 350 consumer brands with empathy, dedication, and service with the pursuit of becoming the most reliable insurance business in all of CPG.

Most brokers make you explain what a co-packer is. We've structured coverage around co-packer indemnification clauses, FSMA requirements, AAFCO compliance gaps, and retailer COI standards — before you ask.

General Liability doesn't cover a product recall. Most food and pet brands don't find that out until the call comes. We include recall coverage analysis in every new quote — not as an add-on, but as a starting assumption.

Retail buyers, co-manufacturers, and distributors all need certificates of insurance — often on tight timelines. We issue COIs same-day and know exactly what each major retailer's vendor portal requires.
